I have been teaching since 1989. I decided to go to college after I had my children and they went to school. I had worked for a lawyer and a doctor and then decided to become a teacher. I taught my first year at Earling Grade School. It was an experience that I will never forget. I took my children on a school trip and most of them had never been out of Logan County let alone out of the state of WV. From then I went on to work at many different schools. I taught at Man Junior High, Mallory Elementary, Logan Grade, Monaville, Omar and Whitman before I began my tenure at Holden in 1995. I have been at Holden since that time. I am a Title I teacher and I love my job. My prinicpal Mickey White and my friend Janis Clark talked me into going back to school to get my administrative degree. I have now finished that degree and last year I had the opportunity to work as principal at Holden while Mickey was off on medical leave. I really loved that job! I hope that one day I will become a principal and I would love to be right there at Holden Elementary School. It is home!!!!
